oh my goodness. i have a refugee cat staying in my house now..
yesterday night, tunu, my housemates' cat, was at the main door and was trying to tell my housemates that there was a cat at the door. (so cute like a real visitor at the door right? hahaha!).. then my housemates very kindly let the refugee cat in.. she has bells around her neck so she must be a domestic cat.. and she's really white! and fluffy! but oh boy.. she's quite a tough one. hahaha!
she ate tunu's food.. and she even jumped onto the kitchen top when i was cooking my dumplings!! i so scared she will try to touch/lick the HOT pot and scald her tongue or something leh. hahahaha! and she not scared of me leh! i keep making "sweeping" movements at her to shoo her away but wa! she not scared leh!! hahahah!
then i know the whole night my poor housemates had to put up with her.. 'cos she's quite naughty.. and like, just not scared lor. so brave. in a foreign land leh! hahahaha! this morning she tried to get into my room when i opened my door to go wash the dishes.. then i used my door to say NO to her. hahaha! then i had to wait at my door until my housemate came out and brought her away. hahahaha! felt quite silly with a handful of china in my hands and a refugee cat just outside my door. hahahaha!

the only thing i like about her is her really nice white fluffy fur. hahahaha! (i'm so sorry mer and claire!! told you that i'm not a cat person already. i don't know how to love a cat. hahahaha!)
my housemate was saying that maybe she was lost. but then again, maybe her owner didn't want her anymore 'cos she doesn't behave like a lost cat.. or something like that.. so i don't know.. hmmm.. and poor tunu.. he was up all night following the cat around. hahahaha! but i know they 'fight' sometimes. hahahaha!
so shall i name her "jingle bells" 'cos of her bells around her neck that jingle everytime she moves? or shall i name her the famous "smelly cat"? but i haven't actually smelt her yet. really don't wish to do so. may get my nose bitten off. hahahaha! =D

felt so 幸福 while eating this zhong zi!!! =D =D and it was really yummy!!! and the greatest thing about it is that there were no fats in the meat!!! but there was once that i thought that the piece of mushroom was some fat. hahahah!
you know i was actually thinking the other day,"aiya so long never eat zhong zi already..".. then claire gave it to me!! handmade by her and her sister some more!!! =D =D yay! God is good. hahahaha! =D claire!! give me the receipe (if there's one)!! i must learn how to make so next time can make for my children. hahahahaha! =D
i also miss gee zhang!! with the sugarrrr... PLENTY OF SUGAR.... ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh....
and my bbq chicken wings!!!! i think i can eat 20... or an infinite amount! hee hee hee =D

today's invigilator was quite funny too.. she was so "alert" in the sense that if there's any sound then she will faster turn around and look to see what it is. and she's alittle serious too. hahaha! and she told my friend sitting next to me to fill in his name on the script during the exam. and when she was checking our student cards, she would step back and try to look at our faces to see if it was the correct person.
she immediately reminded me of a meerkat. hahahaah!
and when i walked out of the hall after i finished my paper.. she was out at the front.. and we looked at each other and i smiled, but she just stared. hahahah! meerkat.

help!!! i've got a minor burn.. arghhh.. i thought it would be alright 'cos i touched the hot oven for a split second.. but then look what it has become!
how ah??? put toothpaste? looks like a birthmark leh..
i took out my handy library-borrowed physiology ( i feel like getting one for myself!) textbook and looked up burns..
"Burns are a devastating threat to the body primarily because of their effects on the skin. A burn is tissue damage inflicted by intense heat, electricity, radiation, or certain chemicals, all of which denature cell proteins and cause cell death in the affected areas. The immediate threat to life resulting from severe burns is a catastrophic loss of body fluids containing proteins and electrolytes."

found that chip in my bag of potato chips.. so funny hor? it seemed as though one of the workers spotted the chip that caught fire.. and he used a cloth to extinguish the fire.. then left a burnt-out hole in the middle of the chip. hahahaha!
and my housemate's cat is sit/sleeping right outside my door now!! hahaha! i don't know why.. i think maybe 'cos his owners are both out now.. so he wants to be around 'people' so he sleep outside my door. hahaha! i still don't play with him.. but just now when i found him outside my door (got a shock when i opened my door!!), i wanted to pet him.. but i didn't in the end. hahaha!

today i finished my paper before the allocated time.. so i was like putting the papers together and all and sort of arranging the things on my desk.. i didn't want to leave yet 'cos i wanted to wait for my friends.. and this invigilator (is that how you spell it?) saw me.. and he came up to me and said," if you want you can leave first before the exam ends.".. he was chasing me away!!! =( =( then i was just like "ya." and i asked "can i go to the washroom please?" and he smiled and said yes. hahahah!

ok i just read that and it didn't really make much sense. hahaha! never mind, when i read it a few years later i'll know what happened.. =D

i must remember this historical day... where i........ cooked my very first plate of fried rice ever since coming to aussieland!!! hahahahaha!
jiejie!! you know i really followed mi-qi-lin's way of cooking in the show! the rice was yesterday's rice.. and i mixed the egg with the rice first.. then fried it until 粒粒分明! hee hee.. =D see.. television shows DO do good. hahahaha!
then i also added my favourite fried shallots!!! bought it for the first time today! hee.. and SPAM luncheon meat.. a first for me too! hee =D didn't add spring onions though! 'cos they always come in such a big bunch!!!!
yum yum yum yum! =D ok it may not look good but it's really edible!!! hahaha! =D so happy.. FINALLY cooked it man.. hahaha!

i just found out from my classmate that my pathology lecturer passed away yesterday in the hospital. this year when he had us for lectures, he was always coughing.. and the cough sounded bad too.. whenever we asked him if he was alright, he would say that he's fine..
he's one of the most dedicated lecturers i have ever met.. i think he's either 70+ or 80+.. hair's all white and all.. and his movements are always so slow and laboured.. but he never fails to come for every lecture that he has scheduled for us.. even though i'm sure he knows that he's sick and should probably get plenty of rest.. when he didn't turn up for the revision lecture last friday.. we were all quite dismayed 'cos we went all the way to school for that.. but never did we know that he was too sick to come to school.
i remember last year at our last lecture, he said that he would be lecturing us this year.. that is, "if i'm still around".. and he's always joking while he tells us about the diseases and pathology, that "that's not a bad disease to die of.".. and we will always be like, "noooo..".. and he would be like," that's what you think of when you are of my age.".. he was also so jovial and nice.. never angry and can tell that pathology was really his passion.. you have really lived your life to the fullest.. =D and i believe that that was what you wanted to do.. =D
it's so sad.. he was really so so nice to us even though we weren't fantastic students to him..
hope he's in Heaven now dancing on the streets of gold.. i trust that he is saved. =D
sorry but there's no more pathology and diseases to talk about or to discover in Heaven, leo! but there are so much more great things that you'll be excited over! =D

just now as i was finishing my bag of potato chips.. i suddenly thought to myself, "who invented potato chips?".. and i went on the internet to look..
"It's interesting to note that the French Fry was the precursor to the potato chip. According to The Interesting History of Ordinary Items, in 1853, American Indian George Crum was the chef at Moon Lake Lodge in Saratoga Springs, New York. Some guest started complaining that the fries were too thick, so Crum made a thinner batch. Still no good. Crum got fed up and made ultra-thin fries which couldn't be picked up with a fork (the custom then) and would break if one tried to. It didn't quite work out as he'd planned. Not only did this troublesome guest love 'em, so did everyone else. Not one to dwell on a failure, Crum gave in and made them regularly. They were on the lodge's menu as "Saratoga chips". Crum opened up his own place and specialised in the fries-gone-wrong."

i just got this book!!! =D =D =D had a 30% voucher and the original price was $16+ so after discount it was like only $10+ yay! =D and i read reviews that it's a very nice book! can't wait!!!! =D =D really tempted to start reading it now but then exams are coming so i must RESIST!!!!
